Cristy holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also recently earned a Master’s Degree in Health Benefits Design from the University of Lynchburg. Cristy has been named twice to Employee Benefits Advisor Magazine’s Top Women in Benefits Advising—in 2018 and 2020.
In the 2018 October Edition, she was recognized for her work to create awareness among employers regarding the opioid crisis and how to not allow that to be a self-inflicted wound in any employer’s health plan. Creating independent, high-performing health plans is the foundation to solving the opioid crisis and the overall crisis of health plan dysfunction.
Cristy also hosts a podcast called Healthcare Solutions, available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. She interviews today’s movers and shakers in the healthcare industry who are affecting positive change for employees of employer sponsored health plans.
