Taylor cut his teeth in the purchasing department for a semiconductor company (an industry where his father was a VP of Global Supply Chain). After moving into the insurance business, he was astonished that the purchasing discipline of manufacturers was nowhere to be found in the world of health insurance.
He routinely observed high cost, low-quality healthcare driving up insurance premiums, while employers and brokers did little to stop it.
A partnership with a courageous (and fed-up) client, Thrive Mortgage, gave rise to Cairn Advisors. Thrive’s CEO and CFO understood that by changing the way they purchased healthcare, they could create additional profit margin while putting
hundreds of thousands of dollars back into their employees’ pockets.
Cairn’s mission is to escort other companies to better physical and financial outcomes for their benefit plans, and for their employees, by simply following the path that’s already been created.
